Preliminary Workshop program GEANT4 WORKSHOP PROGRAM, 3 - 9 August 1996, Vancouver - CANADA The purpose of this workshop is to provide a platform for in-depth discussions of some of the present hot topics related to the design and the implementation of the GEANT4 toolkit in the different sub-domains, most of which have to be addressed, and hopefully solved early next year. One of the main purposes of the workshop (together with real work) is to see where we are with meeting the milestones, doing some risk and resources analysis. The first day will be devoted to the presentations of the program of work/task list, for each working session, to be fulfilled in the next days. The five following days will start each with a presentation on the general activity of a G4 working group, followed by a plenary discussion session on this topic, and then they will be fully devoted to working sessions in front of terminals and blackboards covering: - Tracking, - Hadronics, - Hits/Digi, - PIIM, - Graphics. The last day will be devoted to the workshop summary, consisting of the presentations of the results achieved in the working sessions. Generally we intend to provide a rather informal environment, and are certainly open for further suggestions on improvements to the preliminary program. Best regards, Hans-Peter Wellisch, Simone Giani. PRELIMINARY SCHEDULE: Friday, 2nd August: 16:00 - 18:00 Registration. Saturday, 3rd August 09:00 - 10:00 Registration.
