Internet Explorer 4 with PDF
If you are having problems using Internet Explorer 4 to
download and preview PDF files you can try the following:
- Make sure you have the latest release of the Acrobat
Reader, 3.01 is available on the adobe web site and
obtain the ActiveX update for Windows from the same
place. Close down all web browser windows and install
both.
- Make sure the security level in Internet Explorer is set
to medium.
- If you get a blank frame then click on refresh.
- When you have the 1st page, it sometimes helps to click
on the >| button to go to the end of the file then
<| to go back to the begining (do this before looking
at the pages in between).
If all else fails instead of using the left mouse button to
download, use the right button and select "save target
as", then use the Adobe Acrobat Reader to open and
display the file.
