These files are archived by date. The first field in the filename is the date in ISO format, the second is the the time of day (HHMM). The HTML files include the corresponding JPEG files as an inline. This archive covers the period "961213.2000" through "961231.2300" with updates every hour. Occasionally frames are missing due to conflicting demands for the camera or equipment outage.

You may call up a (outside shot) page for a particular day in the form yymmdd.hhmm.html (with image yymmdd.hhmm.jpg), for instance 961220.1500.html for 3pm on 20 December 1996.

You may call up an MPEG1 animation for a particular day in the form yymmdd.mpg, for instance 961225.mpg for Christmas Day (1996).

The MPEG1 animation sofar.mpg (10Mb) covers the period December 1996 through most of March 1997.
